About Us
Hello,
Beacon Running, was set up by Adrian Colwill in 2011, I am a very keen runner and have partaken in many races of varying distances from 5 km, to Ultra's.
my next personal challenge is; The Spine Challenge in January 2014, This will be followed in August by the T184.
I was joined in the company by my very tolerant wife, Nicky Colwill in 2012 as I was putting the finishing touches to the Bideford Bay 50km, our first event.
Our aim is to put on great trail running events that will test the participants, both mentally and physically. These will mostly be Ultra Marathons, however we are developing some smaller trail runs too for release in 2014.
To develop and promote the ultra running scene in North Devon.
We are truly Blessed to live in North Devon so through our events we will help showcase and protect the natural world, its diversity and the 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' that we live in.
work with local charities to help raise awareness and funds for the great work that they do for our communities .
we will mostly be working this year with the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal, and the Children's Hospice South West. however we will also continue to support lesser known groups such as 'The Friends of Pynes School'.
